Classes are more concentrated on lectures and you sit in these classes in a room filled with students from all walks of life. Most businesses would prefer to hire individuals that have experience related to the job in order to ensure that he or she is capable of doing his or her work right. As mentioned technical schools are more inexpensive and a course can cost around a few hundred dollars to $2,000. In a technical school you do not have to worry about fulfilling requirements for subjects that are not related to your major because technical schools tend to focus on specific programs. College tends to be time consuming, which can often lead to students reducing their work hours or stopping their jobs completely. This can result to some form of monetary strain because college tuition is very costly.

Furthermore, even with the help of the university it is still hard to land a job because of the small number of possibilities. Colleges are known for helping their students find work in well known businesses. Unfortunately, these businesses barely seek colleges for help in recruitment of future workers. A college employment office can assist students create an amazing resume and prepares them for interviews but it does not help them land work that actually pays, which is unlike a technical school.

At the moment, it is hard to tell where your college degree will take you. An increasing number of people are taking courses with degrees, but there is a decreasing number of companies that are hiring employees. Colleges are really not that effective in training students and teach them how to do a job. Colleges are there for the background knowledge you need to carry out the job, and employers know this.
